We are steadily working towards pulling together our graduation ceremony for the end of the year. The School Council Advisory Team is involved in graduation preparations. Please refer to our web page for updated information.

Important reminders (also found on the page in more detail)

100 Credits Needed for graduation

Currently, we are slated for an outdoor ceremony on June 10th, 2022, at Nose Creek Amphitheatre in Airdrie.

Current Restrictions from AHS are as follows for outdoor gatherings:

  • Events and facilities that are fully outdoors (excluding washrooms), have no capacity restrictions but must maintain 2 metres distancing between households or 2 close contacts for those living alone.

Students will receive a form to fill out, including a request for gown size, upload a baby photo, fill in their life motto or saying, and more.

We are still working on a cost for graduation and will be in touch with the amount. We are endeavouring to keep the cost as low as possible.

On November 24th, we met with students to talk about graduation and guidance counsellor supports. It is imperative students check the website regularly and create an account with myPass. As we make decisions about the ceremony, we will update the site and send you an email.

The most important aspect is that students are focused on finishing well in their courses. If the student does not have the correct courses and number of credits, they are not able to graduate this year. They, however, can return to graduate next year.

Diploma Exam Update

For this year, Alberta Education will be weighting diploma exams at 10% rather than 30%.  For more information please click here.
